SONIC YOUTH : Live @ the Fillmore

Sold out. What did we expect? These guys are legendary. Dave and I discussed our "This Is How We'll Swindle The Scalper" plan while eating noodles at the joint across from the Fillmore, and 20 minutes later, we had a pair of tickets for barely over face value. A bargain, indeed, as the evening turned out to be priceless - what we could remember of it, at least.

Sonic Youth rocked. The crowd rocked. The drinks rocked (us). And somehow I grew the audacity to work my way against the stage and blatantly take flash photos. The payoff? Some great visual memories of a fantastic aural experience. And one almost-up-the-skirt shot of Kim Gordon, just for those of you who're into the fishnetted over-40 thing. To each his own, I guess.
